Career Change..?

If you have read my Goals for 2017 (Here) you will know that one of my goals for this year was to train and become a qualified Personal Trainer. So this is why I am now writing this post about a month and a half since I made that goal because it is finally coming true. 

I have been into fitness for nearly all of my life when I joined the Gymnastics Squad at the ago of 7 at school. I was one of those students who naturally excelled in sports than academic studies so through out school I never got the greatest marks but I would happily spent 18 hours a week training. 

I have been working in the IT sector for about 5 years now, and I have been very grateful for every opportunity that I have had and the experiences that I have been a part of, but fast approaching the age of 30 some times I still question myself of what I want to do for the rest of my life... Is anyone else the same? 

Having a natural love for exercise and sport I still go to the gym and always find my self encouraging my friends to be healthy, and after a heavy gym session and I am knocked I get such a happy feeling that I have really done something. So that is partly what has pushed me into doing the course and pursuing this dream further and see where things turn out. 

I would in the future love to own my own gym and clothing line to really help people change their lives and see what satisfaction you can get from being fit and healthy and to show people that its all boring and you can still have your chocolate and sweets (maybe just not as much). 

I have now started my Level 2 which builds onto Level 3 after where I will then be a qualified Personal Trainer. I am so excited to start this journey to see where it takes me and hopefully will be able to inspire and help a lot of people to make some great changes in their life.

REVIEW: MAC Strobe Cream

MAC Strobe Cream

I was never too sure about Strobe creams as I had tried using them before and could never really see what they did, which could have possibly been down to me not really knowing how to apply them properly. 
I did get the strobe cream for christmas and I have tried to spend my time using this product to do a review just so I knew I had got the best out of the product. 

The MAC Strobe Cream range comes in 5 ranging colours - Silverlight, Peachlite, Pinklite, Redlite and Goldlite. When you are on the website it doesn't differentiate between the colours so I think they are something you will have to try in store to see what fits your skin tone the best and your desired look. 

I did try them out on my hand in store and I did want about 3 of them but I could defiantly make the differentiation to the ones which I didn't want and didn't match my skin tone. This I felt was good because it meant that I didn't want to buy the whole lot and they were tailored to different skin type and tones. 

MAC Strobe Cream

I don't use mine every day as I work in an office so isn't the most suitable place to be having a fabulous glow with a touch of highlight but I do wear this one my days off and I will even even wear this when I am wearing no makeup. I will apply my moisturiser as normal and then put a small amount on the tips of my fingers and spread evenly over my face. I feel like this really does give your skin a natural glow and brighten it up a bit. 

When I am wearing makeup I will put my moisturiser on and as above I will spread the product all over my face but I will concentrate more on the high points of my face first so my cheek bones, eye areas, end of my nose and my cupids bow. 
I will then apply my foundation over the top and when I am finished with my foundation I will pop a small amount of the strobe cream on my beauty blender and go over these high points again. This i find works so well and makes any highlighter you put on top pop even more.

OUTFIT: Purple Vibes

I can't say that I have ever really worn anything purple before which is why I chose this outfit. I wanted to branch out of my comfort zone and try something new, as I normally wear dark leggings and a vibrant top this was certainly something different. 

I bought this jacket and leggings in store and they don't seem to be online. 

These leggings are very comfortable though and did keep me nice and warm when I was shooting this look. I love the print on the leggings also as I only have one other pair of pattern leggings. I did get some new trainers which was nice they were my mums but she did not find them comfortable but I quite liked them so she gave them to me.

Month End: My thoughts on Jan and whats coming in Feb!

WOW!!! How fast has January gone?!?! Does any one else feel like it has gone by so fast??

If you guys follow me you will know that this year I am making a huge change in my life and trying to make a bigger commitment to my blogging and hitting my goals. If you haven't seen my post yet you can find that here if you want to have a read. 

Month of Jan 

As this was my first month of really making a bigger commitment to my blog and trying to achieve my goals I wasn't to sure what to expect in regards to my time and how hard it was going to be - all those kind of things. 

I did break my goals down into mini goals for the month into separate categories and into goals that I thought were tangible so that I could actually measure against them for example how many blog posts I wanted to publish and how many times I wanted to get to the gym in the week. 

Having these tangible goals really did make a difference this month and has made my goals a lot more realistic so I can see where I am headed and where I am wanting to get too. 

With regards to how I did, I actually did much better than I thought I would, I didnt achieve everything that I set out but I am fine with that because I made a good dent into all of them and have learnt along the way of how to manage my time a little better - where I can allocated my time more efficiently and for that I actually feel very good about it. 

Coming up....

Month of Feb...
I am going to be breaking my goals down into the same categories as I did for January being Blog, Fitness and other but just tweaking and refining the details a little more.

So for February I am going to aim to publish 7 posts, as last month I aimed for 10 which I didn't quite make as I had spent so much time working I could not fit it in. Hopefully now that I have lowered this slightly if I make this number it will be great and if I exceed this then that will give me more motivation to continue.

I will still be aiming to be posting on Social Media on Instagram and Twitter everyday - I have managed to keep up with this for the most part. My Instagram was lacking slightly as I did not post every day but managed to get something up for most of the month.
I am creating a Instagram schedule for myself so I can try and get a little more organised, so hopefully this will help. I will keep you posted on that.

On the fitness side I was ill for the most part of January so I couldn't get to the gym for the first few weeks, but managed to get back into it at the end of January. So I will be keeping my goals of going to the gym twice a week.

Other areas I included were reading 2 books per month which I did achieve in January which I was very pleased about so will certainly be keeping this on the list for February.

Hope this helped you guy and just give an idea of what I am doing to achieve my goals and the steps I am putting in place to achieve this. Bring on February and lets see what happens....
