Green Goddess Smoothie


If you guys have been following me on twitter you will know that I have working out a lot more this year, it can be hard fitting it in sometimes but I always try to make the time otherwise you will see no results. 

So to accompany my new fitness I have been looking into eating better and ways in which I can incorporate more nutrients into my diet. A balanced diet if always helpful to improve your fitness as it aids recovery and gives your body what it needs. Thats not to say don't had take outs here or there because I do not believe that you should stave yourself of these things in the name of fitness. 

So as I normally have a berry shake after I have trained I wanted something with more variety of nutrients and thats how I have made The Green Goddess Smoothie. It is packed with great nutrients and defiantly get your body going.

Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover





Hey Guys,

So I have been looking forward to trying a new makeup remover for a while now as I have always been rather fond on my Clinique Makeup Remover, and thought there must be other brands out there that are just as good or maybe even better.

So for Christmas I asked for the Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup remover, as I love their primer and eye shadows I thought I would try some of their other products to see if they were just as good. 

At first glance I love the packaging which it comes in its vibrant and looks exciting with its bold colours. I then opened the packaging and squeezed the product out on to my hand and it is a white / opaque cream. It felt quite rich like a moisturiser so was interested to see how it was going to turn out on my face.



I put a small amount on a cotton wool ball and started to take my makeup off, however it didn't seem to go very far and was getting soaked into the cotton wall ball. It took about 4 cotton wall balls to finally get all of the make up off, which I think it quite a lot. I think next time I will try it with a cotton Pad. After washing my face no more makeup came off, so it did take all of my makeup off it just did not feel like it did, if that makes sense?

The product itself says that it is a makeup remover, but then in small letters on the bottom it says it is for eyes in French... Not being a French based company I was not sure why they would put this in French and not advertise it as a eye makeup remover. I am not sure if any of you were confused by the is why getting this product?

Benefits of Coconut Water




I remember being in Antigua when I was young and watching men climb the coconut trees to pick off the coconuts. These were the days when coconuts were associated with the tropical countries, and were rarely seen in Europe.

Fast forward and now they are seen as a major part in a healthy lifestyle being seen in all supermarkets and being included as part of people daily routines.

I admittedly am not a fan of the taste of anything coconutty (if that is a word?) but I do include it in my fitness smoothies with milk so it disguises the taste.

I was not sure about what all the hype was about coconut water, and so I did some research to find out and here are my findings:

1. Helps with Weight Loss

Coconut was is very low in fats, so you can drink away without worrying about putting on any weight. There is more taste to coconut water than water and it quite rich so you will find your self feeling fuller so you will not feel so hungry.

2. Picture-Perfect Skin

If you suffer from blemishes on your skin, or tend to break out sometimes the coconut water helps clear the skin and moisturize if by eliminating any extra oil which can be created on the skin.When you look at some shampoos, conditioners, and facial creams you will often see added ingredients of coconut, and this is why, because the cytokinins in the water have found to help with anti-ageing.

3. The Ultimate Hangover Remedy

After a hard night out drinking the alcohol often leaves your body dehydrated and will strip your body of many important nutrients. Drinking the coconut water will settle your stomach but more importantly help replace the essential electrolytes in your body.

4. Facilitates Digestion

If you suffer from difficult digestion then this could be your source of relief. The high content of fiber in coconut water aids digestion and reduces any acid reflux in the system.

5. Boosts Hydration

The ingredients in coconut water are way more effective at hydrating the human body than those of sports and energy drinks. When exercising your body will loose mineral rich fluids which the coconut water helps replace.  

6. Rich in Nutrients

The blend of nutrients make the coconut water the ideal drink as it includes, calcium, magnesium, Phosphorus, potassium and sodium. These minerals are vital to keep the brain, nerves, heart and muscles in shape.

7. How Much Should You Consume?

There are no rules of how much you can or should consume, and there are many different ways you can include coconut water in your diet, including by itself, or in smoothies.
When searching for the perfect fresh coconut to enjoy, be sure to steer clear of those that have a hard brown shell as this is an indication that it is mature. Instead, look for those that are young and green on the exterior as they usually contain a large supply of the actual coconut water substance. To test it out, simply shake the coconut up and down to gauge how much liquid it contains.

New Year Blogging Resolutions




We are now finally in... 2015!! As always the New Year bring new resolutions.
I thought instead of writing my own personal New Year resolutions I would write New Year's resolutions for what I want to do with my blog in 2015.

I know it can be hard to keep up resolutions which are set in January, so I am going to give it my best shot, and in 6 months time I will do a little review of them to see how I have got on. 

So without further ado here are my Blog Resolutions for 2015... hope you like them and hopefully give you some inspiration.

Comment on others blogs more


This is something I often do forget to do, I will read others blogs on bloglovin and often forget to comment for whatever reason. This is something that I want to change in 2015.
Commenting on others blogs is good in many ways, because firstly you are appreciating the work that blogger is putting in the post and also a great way of gaining more exposure for your own blog.
However, remember only comment when you have something to say about the blog you chose to comment on. Spamming others blogs just to get your name out there is never a good idea and can often been seen from a mile away.

Paying more attention to my social media


I have sometimes fallen short of paying attention to some of my social media pages. I have tended to favourite some outlets over others. I have recently found myself spending more time on my Instagram than any other platform. It will be my aims during 2015 to make sure I pay attention to all my social media outlets.

Being more organised with a blogging schedule


When I started by blog last year I would be writing blogs 2/3 times a week, which was very hard to keep up with. More recently as life has become slightly more hectic and I would take more things out I would find it hard to have the time to be writing posts and taking picture. This is something I want to be more organised with in 2015, I feel it is important for my readers to know when I am going to post and how often.

Learning more about photography

During 2015 I want to learn more about photography, and learning how to take better pictures. As blogs are made up from mostly pictures and content I think this is an area I definatly want to imporove on.
A picture says 1000 words, so I want to make sure I am saying the right things, and create pictures which are expressive and my readers like and want to see more off.
